What is MasterCard SecureCode?

MasterCard SecureCode is an innovative service offering secure internet shopping, using your preferred form of internet payment-your ATM card.   MasterCard SecureCode lets you add a personal SecureCode to your existing card, getting added security & the reassurance that only you can use your card online.

How does MasterCard SecureCode work?

When you purchase online, MasterCard SecureCode issues a receipt at the end of the checkout process.   The receipt includes details of your current purchase, such as site name, purchase amount & date. You sign the receipt using your personal SecureCode & click “submit” to proceed with the purchase. Without your SecureCode, the purchase cannot take place.

How does MasterCard SecureCode protect me?

Once you’ve registered & created a SecureCode, each time you make an online purchase, a window will pop up asking for your SecureCode like using your PIN at the ATM. When you correctly enter your SecureCode, you confirm that you are the authorized cardholder & your purchase is completed.   If the correct code is not supplied, your financial institution cannot confirm your identity & the purchase will not be completed. No code, no confirmation, no purchase.

Where can I shop with MasterCard SecureCode?

Many merchants are already a part of MasterCard Secure Code, and more merchants are signing up!

What happens when my MasterCard expires?

When you are re-issued a new card, with the same Card Number, the MasterCard SecureCode service is automatically updated with the new card information. You do not need to re-register again.

What happens if I cancel my AFCU MasterCard & then get a new one with a different card number?

You will need to register the new AFCU MasterCard for the SecureCode service. Simply return to the registration site & complete the registration process with your new card number.

Effective Monday, June 22, 2020 the credit union opened our lobby with the following restrictions & are subject to change should the need arise:

  • Only 2 members will be permitted in the credit union lobby at a time

  • 6 foot social distancing rules and guidelines must be followed

  • Masks MUST be worn by everyone entering the lobby

  • Our Coin Machine is in service but we are kindly asking to limit to 1 member running coin at the machine-as there is a 2 member limit in the lobby

  • Anyone interested in opening a new account(s) or apply for a new loan MUST make an appointment.  These services will be by Appointment Only-No Exceptions!  Please call 508-995-9100 for more information

  • Our Online Banking & ATM is available to you 24/7.  If you are not an Online Banking member or do not have an ATM card, you can contact our office at 508-995-9100 for more details

  • Anyone who does not abide by the rules & regulations set forth by the governor and the Credit Union regarding the safety of our staff & members will be asked to leave the building & conduct business at the drive thru
