ABOUT US

Acushnet Federal Credit Union has as its mission the responsibility for providing an efficient, effective, and well-managed financial institution that meets the needs of its membership.  In order to accomplish this mission, the AFCU will continue a sound yet progressive asset management strategy and provide new and improved financial services to current and future members through membership input and management initiatives.

HISTORY AND STRUCTURE

AFCU is a voluntary, nonprofit, cooperative association of individuals sharing a community bond as defined by our field of membership. Each member is an owner of the Credit Union and is entitled to a single vote regarding the business of the Credit Union.

The credit union was established in June 1960 as St. Francis Xavier Acushnet Federal Credit Union. As of September 14th 1967, St. Francis Xavier Acushnet Federal Credit Union was officially known as Acushnet Federal Credit Union

TO ALL AFCU MEMBERS

EFFECTIVE THURSDAY, MARCH 19, 2020, THE LOBBY WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. OUR DRIVE THRU WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR BUSINESS DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.

Here are a couple of ways we can assist our members during this time to Stay home as much as possible & Stay Safe:

** We ask you to utilize our Online Banking or contact our office to make transfers if needed.

** If you are currently an Online Banking and Checking Account member, you are able to enroll in Bill Pay to pay your bills from home at NO charge.

** If you do not have access to Online Banking or do not have an ATM card, please contact our office & we will assist you in being able to utilize these services.

** One thing we have done to assist members during this time is from now until April 30th, all Regulation D transfers will be allowed. Federal Regulation D requires that you are only allowed 6 transfers per calendar month from a Savings or Money Market account. From now until April 30th, you will be allowed unlimited transfers from your savings or Money Market to cover any transactions that you may need. Hopefully this will assist you in making your required purchases and prevent an unnecessary visit to the credit union.

** If you are in financial need-For a limited time, we are offering Skip a Payment for any Personal or Auto Loans at NO CHARGE! You will be able to skip ONE monthly payment per loan to assist our members in financial need. You can download the Skip a Payment form from our website under Contact Us/Resources/Skip a Payment form & submit to our office either by email or at our drive thru. If you are unable to download the form, you can pick up a form at our drive thru or contact our office & we will email it you to complete.

As always, our members & staff are our main priority. Stay Safe with Social Distancing, Wash your hands & if possible Stay home as much as possible to flatten the curve.
